THE BAIRRO: At the northern end of the island, between the beaches of Lagoinha and Cachoeira de Bom Jesus, is located Ponta das Canas Beach, a summer resort for many Florianopolitans and tourists.
While it has a good infrastructure of services, hotels and modern buildings, the beach still houses a traditional fishing colony.
THE BEACH: The calm waters of the beach are an attraction for families with children and for those who like to bathe in tranquility. The sandy strip is extensive, allowing many people to find a good place to open the umbrella and relax while enjoying the surroundings.
